Luxor of Cleopatra Slot Review
Most reviews open with what a game does. Luxor of Cleopatra is more interesting for what it flatly refuses to do. Pragmatic Play built a 5x4 field with 1,024 ways to win, dressed it in the most expensive-looking Egyptian art the studio has shipped in a while, then left the base game almost completely empty. No modifiers. No random wilds. Spins and a paytable, nothing else. Everything the Luxor of Cleopatra slot actually has to offer sits behind ten free spins and a prize pot called the Vault, and the entire design rests on whether you can fill it.
RTP & Volatility
The headline numbers read well. RTP is 96.51%, above the market average and, as it happens, near the top of everything Cleopatra-branded on our shelves. Volatility carries a medium rating, which is odd for a game whose payout structure is pure all-or-nothing. Stakes run from $0.20 to $240 a spin, wide enough to cover a casual session and a serious bankroll, and the ceiling is 12,500x the bet. Medium volatility here means frequent small returns in the base game, not frequent big ones. The distribution is honest about that much. What the label does not tell you is how rarely free spins arrive on their own, and that is the number governing your session. It is also why the buy price matters more in this release than in most Pragmatic titles. For contrast, Sun of Egypt 3 takes the same theme down the hold-and-win route, where the base game carries real weight of its own.

Theme, Graphics & Sound
Pragmatic went for opulence and did not blink. Cleopatra stands beside the reels as a stylised glamour figure, and the room behind her is a lavish chamber with a lotus water feature, ornate columns and cushioned seating. Enter free spins and the sun goes down, moving everything outdoors into a setting just as richly appointed. This is one of the better-looking Egyptian slots of the year, and the audio holds up without ever getting in the way. Set that against the Anubis Wrath demo, which pushes the darker, more ominous end of the same theme. Luxor of Cleopatra is chasing wealth and comfort rather than menace, and it lands that tone cleanly.
Symbols & Payouts
Eleven regular symbols, split six royals to five Egyptian premiums. The spread between them is narrow. Five matching royals return 2x to 3x your stake depending on which rank you hit, and five matching premiums return 3.5x to 5x, with Cleopatra herself topping the table at 5x for a full way. Those figures are the argument. On a 1,024-ways grid at a $1 stake, a five-of-a-kind on the best regular symbol hands you $5. Nobody is grinding a profit out of this paytable, and Pragmatic clearly never intended anyone to. The premium symbols exist so Cleopatra can do her real job during free spins, which is unlocking the Vault. Tomb-raiding is the other major branch of this theme, and the Mummyland demo is the version of it worth spending time with.

Luxor of Cleopatra Bonus Features
Free Spins
Three, four or five lotus scatters landing anywhere award 10 free spins. The count does not scale with the number of scatters, which is unusual and mildly deflating when five of them drop. What does change is what you collect on the way in, because the scatters pay a prize of their own before the round begins.
Multiplier Wilds
A second wild type appears only during free spins, carrying a x2 multiplier applied to any way it completes. Two of them in the same win multiply together rather than adding up, so x2 and x2 becomes x4, and the arithmetic climbs fast from there. This is the only real boost the game hands you, and it lasts ten spins.
The Vault
Above the grid sits a running total that starts at 20x the bet. Every spin where multiplier wilds land tops it up by a random amount, scaling with how many appeared, and a spin dense with them can add a figure large enough to reshape the whole session. Scatters landing during the round contribute too, somewhere between 10x and 250x the bet. Then the catch. The Vault only pays out if all 20 positions on the grid finish the round marked with a key. Eight of them are marked for you after the first spin. The other twelve have to come from Cleopatra symbols landing on unmarked cells. Nineteen keys pays nothing at all. That is the whole game in one sentence, and it is why the medium label feels misleading: the base game is smooth, the bonus is a cliff.
Bonus Buy
Thirty times your stake buys the free spins round with three scatters. For a game leaning this hard on a single feature, that is cheap, and it is how most people will end up playing it.
The Cleopatra Line-Up on BetFury
Cleopatra is not a series, it is a shelf. Eight studios have a Cleopatra slot on our platform and the specs move around far more than the artwork does, so here is how they compare, with every figure pulled from our own game pages. Luxor of Cleopatra is the row without a link, since you are already standing on it.

Two things stand out. This release sits second on RTP behind Secrets of Cleopatra, and its ceiling is the highest of the group. If you want the theme with a base game that does more of the work, the older Pragmatic entries are the better starting point.
How to Play
Set your stake from the panel, spin, and keep half an eye on the scatter count. There is no collect mechanic to manage and no decision to make during paid spins, so the only genuine choice is whether to spin into the bonus or simply buy it. Free spins run themselves once triggered. Demo mode covers everything including the buy, which is the sensible place to find out how often nineteen keys happens to you.
Pros
- RTP is above average for the theme and near the top of our Cleopatra shelf.
- Striking art direction, and free spins change the scene rather than just recolouring it.
- The buy price is low relative to how much of the game sits behind the bonus.
- Multiplier wilds multiply each other, so a good free spins round escalates quickly.
Cons
- The base game has no features whatsoever, which makes unbought spins a waiting room.
- The Vault is all-or-nothing: twelve Cleopatra landings on the right cells, or nothing.
- Ten free spins whether you triggered with three scatters or five.
Our Take
Luxor of Cleopatra is a beautiful shop window built in front of one mechanic, and how much you enjoy it comes down to whether that twentieth key reads as a challenge or a tax. I think it earns a session, mostly for how good free spins look once the Vault has some weight behind it. Try the free demo first and count how often you get past fifteen keys.
